FreeWave continues to push toward the forefront of the Industrial IoT space with new wireless communication solutions focused on the Programmable Edge

FreeWave Technologies, Inc. (www.freewave.com), a leader in industrial, secure Machine to Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) wireless networking solutions, today announced that it will participate in two major IoT industry events, IoT Asia in Singapore from March 29-30, 2017 and Internet of Things North America in Chicago, from March 29-30, 2017. At IoT Asia, FreeWave will exhibit (Booth #E28) and share new products designed for Sensor-2-Server (S2S) communications within Industrial IoT (IIoT) networks. At Internet of Things North America, FreeWave will lead an educational session on S2S communications. FreeWave’s S2S solutions are ruggedized to support IT operations across multiple industries by collecting, controlling and transporting data to support higher-level analytics — from the sensor at the network’s edge in remote locations, back to the corporate office.

“As connectivity needs change across industries, FreeWave has transformed its offerings to meet the demands for more sensors and connected endpoints,” explained Scott Allen, CMO of FreeWave. “At these important IoT industry events, we will share the latest Sensor-2-Server solutions, intentionally designed to bridge the IT/OT divide as the two groups converge. With our latest secure, programmable RF solutions, we aim to further align with the goal of thinking beyond Big Data by leveraging Smart Data – the data that matters the most for business operations and performance.”

Speaking at IoT North America

Michelle Marceny, senior product line manager at FreeWave, will take a deep dive into S2S technologies by defining Sensor-to-Server and explaining the role it plays in modern industrial and SCADA communication networks.

New Products at IoT Asia

FreeWave will feature several new products at IoT Asia, including:

• WaveContact Family – WaveContact Modular wireless systems provide rugged, simple and flexible communication solutions that are easily and quickly deployable. WaveContact products interface with a wide variety of sensors deployed in industrial and critical infrastructure markets such as oil and gas, electric power, water and wastewater and environmental monitoring. The product line is built for short-range field applications where simplicity and ease of use in Class 1 Division 1 hazardous locations are critical for success.

• ZumLink Z9-C and Z9-T – Serial radio modules for OEM and Embedded applications. The ZumLink Z9-C and Z9-T are ideally suited for unmanned systems and other industrial machinery that require highly reliable, high-speed data communications and networking.

• WavePro – Designed to secure and transport Voice, Video, Data and Sensor (VVDSâ„¢) information, this cost-effective, high-speed, rugged wireless communication platform is specifically designed for outdoor industrial locations and has proven reliability in extreme environmental conditions. It’s an ideal field area network solution for oil and gas, utilities, mining, power plants, municipalities, disaster recovery or for any other applications that require remote Wi-Fi connectivity in nontraditional settings.
